Sonic though the years

Lets face it, the blue hedgehog hasn't been at the top of his game these past few years since entering the 3D realm. SEGA is slowly making the speedster look awesome again by going back to their roots while still trying to tread 3D ground.

But let's look back, back when we first saw that blue streak speed by and see just how many adventures that little guy had. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwAFDO_QgA8&w=560&h=349

Happy Birthday Sonic!

Sonic the Hedgehog turns 20 today and SEGA is celebrating by releasing a demo for Sonic Generations on Xbox Live and PSN. The demo will include the 2 acts of Greenhill Zone. Act 1 will be using Classic Sonic and Act 2 will be for Modern Sonic.

It's the same demo that was playable at this year's E3 show floor so for those of you lucky enough to have been there, this is the same game. The demo will only be available until July 12 so grab it while you can.

Also announced for PSN is a 20th Anniversary Bundle. The bundle Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, Sonic Adventure and a Sonic 4 Dynamic Theme. The bundle costs $19.99.

Sonic Generations Gameplay Trailer

After the teaser video that SEGA released not so long ago, we now have gameplay footage of the upcoming game Sonic Generations. A Sonic game which features both the green eyed modern Sonic and the stubby fat Classic Sonic.

From the looks of it, the game uses the same engine from Sonic Colors. A mix of both fast paced 2D and 3D gameplay which I think worked well in Sonic Colors. I'm sure some of you speculated that since the game has 2 Sonics in it, that it would be a co-op game. The trailer shows no signs of co-op gameplay and if you notice, Classic Sonic did not have a shot of 3D gameplay nor the ability to boost.

As to how both Sonic will interact in the game is still unknown. We just have to wait for further news from SEGA.
