Aliens: Colonial Marines gets a Cinematic Trailer
/Gearbox Software just release a new Cinematic Trailer that got me all excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Its short, but enough to give us an idea on what we'll be getting when the game comes out next year.
I really want this game to be good. It looks good, but it needs to bring the feeling of walking through a narrow corridor, freaked out and relying solely on your tracker. That's what I want to feel in the first minutes into the game. Gearbox Software created Borderlands so I have hope that this game will bring justice to the Aliens franchise. It was pushed way back to 2013 for more polishing, so they have no excuse if it comes out bad.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is a long way from release, it will hit shelves on February 12, 2013 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Guild Wars 2 finally gets a release date
/Its official: Guild Wars 2 finally has a release date! No more speculations, no more rumors, this is straight from ArenaNet's mouth - Guild Wars 2 will be released on August 28, 2012. Stock up your fridges and make the preparations to call in sick, because its only two months away.
In ArenaNet's official blog site, the released date was revealed in their latest post together with a message about the final Beta Weekend:
This is an incredibly momentous day for the studio and for me personally. This journey began in 2007 when we first announced that we were beginning work onGuild Wars 2 and that you wouldn’t be hearing from us for a while. Then in 2010 we unveiled our manifesto for Guild Wars 2: a living breathing online world that challenges convention, that’s designed for fun instead of grind, and that brings social interaction to a new level in an online world.
Through all the long hours and hard decisions, we were bolstered by the knowledge that we were not in this alone. All along you’ve been there for us, cheering us on, supporting us when we needed it, testing early versions of the game, and above all, giving us your honest feedback every step of the way. Guild Wars 2 is a better game for all of the work that our community has put in.
Now that we’re just two months away from launch, we’ll spend our remaining time optimizing, polishing, and balancing the game, to ensure that we provide you with the best launch-day experience we possibly can.
To this end, I’m excited to announce that our next and final Beta Weekend Event is planned for July 20-22.
These are exciting times; we’re on the cusp of a new era in online roleplaying games, and we’re glad you’re on this journey with us.
We’ll see you in-game.
So after the last Beta Weekend, it will feel like a long wait. But hey, fans of the game have been waiting for the sequel for years, a few weeks is nothing if you ask me.
Pre-purchase of Guild Wars 2 is still available, so if your still planning to get the game digitally to be able to play on day one, click on this link now.
The Walking Dead Episode 2 gets a release date
/Out of nowhere, Telltale has finally given a release date for The Walking Dead Episode 2: Starved For Help. Xbox 360 owners gets first dibs on the second episode while PS3 and PC owners will have to wait until Friday(June 29). If you don't plan on playing it on a 360, I suggest you avoid Youtube or any live streaming sites until then.
I had a blast with the first episode and it a great start for Telltale's five part game series. Episode 1 had quite a lot of heavy decisions that is said to shape your game's story as you go through each episode, so can't wait. Each episode will cost $5, if you still don't own Episode 1 but plan on getting the game, I suggest you opt for the bundle that gives you access to all five episodes when released. it will cost $20 right on the spot but it does save you $5.
Check out the trailer for episode 2 below. SPOILER BELOW!

Someone has finished Diablo 3 on Inferno Difficulty with a Hardcore Barbarian
/This is world first people. After nearly 5 weeks since the game's release, a Diablo 3 player named Kripparian is the first to beat the game on Inferno Difficulty with a Hardcore character. What's Hardcore? It means that if you die once in the game, your character is gone forever. All your items, all your money, and all your time goes away with one single mistake... or even lag. It has been done and it is really no easy feat.
Diablo 3's Community Manager Bashiok has confirmed that this kill is indeed the first in the world.
With the help with his buddy Krippi, they took the hardest boss(Diablo) down and not even with the best gear in the game. It wasn't a perfect record though. Both players have lost level 60 characters in order to reach this goal, making this an even bigger accomplishment. Why? Because after losing their characters, they were forced to re-level and gear up their new characters all over again, which takes time. With a couple of deaths slowing them down, they still manage to do it in less than 5 weeks. Kripparian and Krippi have been live streaming their Diablo 3 gameplay since launch and I actually saw the kill live when it happened.
The world first was also done hours before Blizzard implemented the 1.0.3 patch that pretty much made the hardest difficulty easier for players. Another reason why this is such an amazing achievement. Don't go hating on Blizzard for making the game easy, since we now have a world first. These guys literally played almost everyday since release.
