Have a look at the world of Skyrim

Elder Scrolls: SkyrimTwo days, just two days left until Elder Scrolls: Skyrim hit's the shelves. So Bethesda released a video introducing you to the world you'll be running around for X hours this weekend. Yes, I'm obviously excited for this game. It's going to be yet another long weekend for me.

The game looks amazing. Thought that NPC during 1:02 in the video made me realize that this is still Bethesda's work. Regardless of them building this world from the ground up with a new engine, and making it look amazing; we just might experience the same stiff animation from previous games.

How I wish we could just skip the next two days. Watching it on 720p was a treat indeed.

Ubisoft confirms a new Assassin's Creed for 2012

Assassin's Creed01

After the release of Assassin's Creed 2 back in 2009, Ubisoft has been releasing a new Assasin's Creed title each year. With Assassin's Creed:Revelations coming out soon, Ubisoft confirms that they will indeed release yet another one for 2012.

This is no surprise. The bigger question is if  their rushing this franchise out the door. Usually when a great game developer creates an amazing game, they aim higher for the sequel, this is not the case for Assassin's Creed after the second game. This franchise seems that they're fine going sideways - progress in the story but have small changes to the game.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed the next Assassin's Creed for 2012 during the company's earning call. "There will be another great, full-fledged Assassin’s Creed title next year," he said. "It will be a major release and we’ll be communicating more about it in the coming months."

Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be out in a few weeks and will be the last chapter for Ezio and Altair. This game for 2012 will revolve around the last story arc left; Desmond Miles.

If Assassin's Creed 3 is actually coming next year, or maybe Assassin's Creed:[insert title here], I doubt it will be the last. They could easily find different story arc's to keep the Assassin's Creed franchise rolling.

I'm not a big fan of games having around a year of development time, so I'm kinda iffy about it. Quality could suffer. Releasing a new title each year hopefully won't come as a regular for future franchises. I'm fine waiting for the sequel just like the rest.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is still on its way and will be out on November 15 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Skyrim getting a day one patch

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim out November 11 Most of the world consider this week Call of Duty week. For some(including me), its Skyrim week. Elder Scrolls : Skyrim will be out on friday and expect a day one patch. What is the patch notes for? Bethesda has not released the patch notes. Whatever this patch fixes, I hope we all get a bug free gaming session when we get it on day one. You know how Bethesda is with their games.

News of this day one patch came from a NeoGAF thread where Bethesda community manager Nick Breckon confirmed the update Skyrim will be out on November 11 and I just can't wait. With my PC not strong enough to play the latest games coming out, I'll have to play the console version. Getting the 360 version of the game, why?? because based on the thread, Xbox owners get future DLC's a month early, similar to Fallout: New Vegas. Sad yes, PC should get this treatment. Anyways,While reading about the day one patch, the thread also revealed a current bug for Xbox 360 versions.

installing the game to your HDD currently seems to be bugged. An installed version of the game will have trouble loading the game's high-res textures, whereas running the game from the disc will not. See this post for more information.

Hopefully this get's fix quick. Pretty unusual bug, if you want your textures to load properly, avoid installing the game in your HDD for now. If not, go right ahead.

Skyrim is coming out in the Philippines on time, thanks to Datablitz. When you see pre-order deals, it's a sure-ball release date for us. While I appreciate the increased number of pre-orders coming from them,  getting a Skyrim mug if you pre-order the game isn't enough incentive at all.  Playstation 3 and PC will be the preferred platform here so the number of people getting the 360 version is pretty slim. So I'm not worried that I have no reservation or such. Worse case, I'll just go on a hunt on friday. Anybody getting the latest Elder Scrolls? if so, what platform?

Saints Row: The Third - Pimps and Gimps Trailer

Saint's Row: The Third Logo After the announcement of GTA V, I'm sure everybody is craving for some sandbox gameplay. Well I think Saint's Row will do instead of revisiting past GTA titles, and thankfully they just released a new trailer for Saint's Row: The Third that's pretty epic. Zombies? Farts in a jar? Deadly ATV's and Burt Reynolds? This game has FUN written all over it.

Game's going to be out on November 15 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Not really into Saint's Row but looks like I should consider trying it out.

New Trailer for new DmC(Devil May Cry)

DmC A special trailer for Ninja Theory's version of Devil May Cry was just released and is said to be from TGS 2011. I've stressed before on how I hate the new design for Dante, but when it comes down to it, it's still a Devil May Cry game. This ytrailer shows that the famous hack and slash Devil May Cry gameplay is still intact.
