My Thoughts on the Current State of the Game
Synduality: Echo of Ada launched this past January as an online extraction shooter based on the anime Synduality: Noir. Its gameplay loop mirrors titles like Escape from Tarkov—you prep your Cradlecoffin, complete requests, and gather resources to upgrade your base and craft gear. The twist? If you die during a mission, you lose everything: weapons, parts, materials.
It’s intense. The tension of potentially losing your progress—especially with PvP elements—gives the game its edge. But for me, the early grind and lack of meaningful conflict (with many players avoiding fights altogether) makes progress feel slow and frustrating. Couple that with underwhelming offline story content, and it’s why I confidently gave the game a 2/5 in my review.
Recent Balance Changes
The game just came out of maintenance with a fresh balance patch, tweaking specific items through buffs and nerfs.
Synduality: Echo of Ada is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows greatly blends the classic Assassin’s Creed stealth with the RPG elements of recent entries. Its dynamic world, seasonal changes, and improved stealth mechanics make exploration a joy, but Yasuke’s restrictive gameplay, overall story, and a half-baked notoriety system hold it back.
