Friday The 13th: The Game Gets A Release Date, 1 Versus 7 Madness Will Begin Soon

The successfully Kickstarter-funded Friday the 13th game now has a release date, and it's sooner than you think. The game will launch on May 26 digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will cost at around $40.

At launch, the multiplayer component of the game will be available. It's going to be a 1 versus 7 asymmetric multiplayer game, seeing a bunch of camp counselors hoping to survive against Jason Voorhees. There will be three maps - Camp Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven, and Packanack Lodge.

While Friday The 13th: The Game has the multiplayer in the spotlight, a single-player mode will be included for free in the coming months.

We were given the release date by a new trailer that was released today. After showing a good number of detailed deaths done by Jason, we see him also slashing away the "Coming Soon" at the end of the trailer, revealing the May release.

Friday the 13th: The Game is made by Gun Media and Illfonic.
