Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed To Spring 2018

Rockstar Games has just announced that their next big game, Red Dead Redemption 2, has been delayed to spring 2018. When the game was revealed, it was planned for a fall 2017 release.

“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready,” says the developer in a post on their official website.

It is a bummer that we'll get to play Rockstar's latest game next year but we did get new screenshots of the game that came together with the announcement. You can check them out below.

This kind of delay is beneficial for the second half of 2017, actually. E3 is a few weeks away, so expect a lot of announcements and reveals that will populate the rest of the year. With Red Dead Redemption 2 out of 2017, we'd like to think the pressure to commit to any release date has lessened. It's never fun to go against any game that comes out of Rockstar Games, so there should be more confidence out there.
