Smart's Mobile Gaming League Will Have Hearthstone, Mobile Legends, And Clash Royale

Smart will have a Mobile Gaming League (MGL) and it includes Clash Royale, Hearthstone, and Mobile Legends. It all begins in Cebu and the prize pool for this league is currently at P350,000.

This nationwide league will have four legs in four different regions in the Philippines: Cebu, Pampanga, Bacolod, and Manila. Players that participate will have to win their specific leg to compete against other champions in their respected regions in the Grand Finals.

The Smart MGL kicks off in Cebu this weekend, June 17-18, with all legs being held at Mineski branches shown above. The champions of the Cebu, Pampanga, and Bacolod legs will be heading to Metro Manila for the Grand Finals with their airfare and accommodations paid for courtesy of SMART.

No word was given when the Grand Finals will be held.

Registration opens at 9 AM. The first 32 players that register for Hearthstone and Clash Royale will be able to join the tournament, while the first 16 teams for Mobile Legends will enter when they register on-site.

There's a little requirement for those that want to enter MGL - you will have to register with a SMART number. If you so happen to not own a sim, there will be sims available for purchase at the venue.

The finals for each leg will be streamed via GG Network TV starting June 18, 2017. The stream for MGL will start tomorrow, so head over to GG Network's channel to check it out.

Pre-registration for MLG is now available, so head on over to register for your game of choice.

This isn't the first time SMART has held a major mobile tournament for players in the Philippines . In 2015, SMART did a Clash of Clans tournament with a crazy prize pool.

Esports is growing rapidly here in the Philippines and the support for these communities are a great thing to see. More events seem to be popping all over. Rage Art did just conclude and Nvidia just announced their own tournament event with a hefty prize pool of their own.
