Mega Man 11 Is Coming This October

Capcom has revealed the release date for Mega Man 11. The Blue Bomber's next adventure begins in October 2 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

A new trailer is out and you can check it out above. Capcom also provided a synopsis for the game.

In Mega Man 11, Dr. Wily is back to his mischievous ways and has had a true flash of evil genius, deciding to invest in an ambitious idea from his time at Robot University where he studied alongside Dr. Light, Mega Man’s benevolent creator. Dr. Light, who also recalls this inventive idea, decides to upgrade Mega Man with this powerful prototype known as the Double Gear system, installing it into his circuits and expanding his abilities for the greatest fight yet for everlasting peace as they take on the evil attempts of Dr. Wily to conquer the world.

Double Gear System

We also get a first look on a new feature in Mega Man 11, and it's called the Double Gear System. The system has two functions; the ability to speed Mega Man up, making the whole world slow down, and the ability to power up Mega Man's buster. It can be toggled on and off. Using it too much and reaching a certain threshold will make Mega Man overheat, resulting in you unable to use the new system for a limited time.

This isn't the only Mega Man title available this year. Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2, which features all 8 Mega Man X games, are coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on July 24.
