The Walking Dead Final Season's New Trailer Is The Beginning of the End

This new trailer for the final season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead brings everything full circle for the series' flagship heroine, Clementine.

Launching on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 14, The Walking Dead: The Final Season continues her story, this time as foster parent to AJ. It's a complete reversal of her season one relationship with player character Lee Everett.

Everything players have experienced in the past seasons of The Walking Dead will, to some varying degree, play a role in this season. Regardless of what platform you're on, your choices will be reflected, though knowing Telltale those choices won't be too incredibly impactful on anything other than minor details.

Telltale Games has promised vastly improved visuals, a new over-the-shoulder camera, unscripted combat sequences and an "emotional, gut-wrenching" finale.

"Clementine, now a fierce and capable survivor, has reached the final chapter in her journey. After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be her chance for a home," Telltale writes.

"But protecting it will mean sacrifice. Clem must build a life and become a leader while still watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. In this gripping, emotional final season, you will define your relationships, fight the undead, and determine how Clementine's story ends."

To sweeten the deal for any pre-orders, Telltale Games will be giving every episode of the series so far to those who pre-order on PS4 and Xbox One.
