X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition Gets A Physical Release for Southeast Asia

If you’re an odd person who loves hybrid genres like I do, then X-Morph: Defense is probably for you. Publisher SCRYsoft and Polish developer EXOR Studios will be dropping the Complete Edition of this twin stick shoot em up and real time strategy mashup to physical shelves in Southeast Asia for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) on July 2nd, 2020.

X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition casts you as a member of an alien species – the titular X-Morph – that has invaded Earth. That’s right, you’re the enemy! You’ll build various defenses against incoming enemies on various maps with exceptional freedom and feature destructible terrain. You’ll build mazes to route your foes and wield a range of unique alien weapons like you’ve never seen.

X-Morph: Defense received positive reviews on its original release to digital retail for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, with critics singling out its addictive action and tactical substance. The Complete Edition will include all three of the DLCs that were previously released as premium add-ons: European Assault, Survival of The Fittest and The Last Bastion.

European Assault adds a brand new mini-campaign that takes place parallel to the original single-player story campaign. Players will direct their attention to Finland and Holland and wreak havoc across those nations before ultimately arriving at France for an epic, destruction-fueled showdown at the Eiffel Tower.

Survival of The Fittest is an expansion that adds five new maps that have been handcrafted to complement the challenges of Survival Mode. Britain sees you fighting an endless foe in a rain soaked maze of cottages and canals. Finland is frigid but it isn’t the cold that is your worst enemy. France features an urban labyrinth primed for destruction. Netherlands’ is an idyllic landscape awaiting chaos. South Africa features a dense night sky waiting to be lit by fire and explosions.

And finally, The Last Bastion rounds out the entirety of the X-Morph: Defense saga with grueling battles against the most hard bitten remnants of the human forces in the farthest reaches of the planet. You’ll fight in remote areas like Iceland, Madagascar, Indonesia and the Easter Island in an effort to finally rid the planet of the resistance.

X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition collects the entirety of a frenetic, action-packed, tactically deep experience into one package. Collapse the built environment to fuel your defense, support them with advanced towers to counter different foes and engage them and their boss-sized mechanical war machines with the powerful X-Morph fighter.

It’s all powered by developer EXOR Studios’ proprietary Schmetterling game engine that allows every structure in the game to be destroyed piece by piece, with physics systems that make every destruction unique.

X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition’s physical release arrives on store shelves on July 2nd, 2020. A Day One Edition of the game comes in a special steelcase package.
