A new Hyenas Gameplay Trailer was Released and a Closed Beta Was Also Announced
/Sega and developer Creative Assembly have released a new gameplay trailer for their hero-based extraction shooter Hyenas, a game based on teams of unique characters fighting in Zero-G.
Check out the game in action below.
Each match consists of up to five teams of three as they race to steal valuable pop culture memorabilia from expansive, themed Plundership called Earth Vintage.
Alongside the reveal of the new trailer, the developers announced that the game will be publicly available for the first time at Gamescom at Hall 8 from August 23 to August 27. A new key art was also released by Sega, which you can see below.
According to VGC, Hyenas will also host a closed beta through Steam and will feature eight specialists including the recently announced character Mozie. The beta will also feature Prima, Commander Wright, Hero-Ki, El Silbón, Doc Hotfix, and Galaxia. Those interested can opt to request access to the closed beta right now via Steam as the beta will run from August 31 until September 11.
Hyenas is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac sometime in 2023. The business model for the game was also not revealed by the developers.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
