Alan Wake 2 Gameplay Revealed at PlayStation Showcase, Will Be Digital Only on Release
/During the big PlayStation showcase in May, Remedy Entertainment revealed our first look at gameplay for the upcoming horror game Alan Wake 2.
The trailer below shows that the player will get to play multiple characters and that Alan Wake himself is still tormented and trapped in a world that continues to plague the small town of Bright Falls, the setting of the first game.
The horror thriller is set to launch on October 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (through Epic Games Store). In the official website for Alan Wake 2, the game will release digitally on all platforms mentions only. No physical copy is planned as that’s the studio’s way of keeping the price at $60 on consoles and $50 for PC. They also don’t think it’s ideal to release a physical version of the product if you are still required to download it in the end.
Alan Wake 2 will have a Deluxe version containing exclusive content such as:
Expansion Pass (Night Springs Expansion and Lake House Expansion)
Nordic Shotgun Skin for Saga (Part of the Expansion Pass)
Parliament Shotgun Skin for Alan
Crimson Windbreaker for Saga
Celebrity Suit for Alan
Lantern Charm for Saga
Pre-ordering the game will score you the Ornate Revolver Skin for Alan Wake and the Survival Resources Pack for a character named Saga.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
