Armored Core VI Is Reportedly Over 50-60 Hours Long
/From Software’s Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon is getting a lot of attention this week as a variety of media outlets have begun sharing their thoughts on what they’ve played so far in a preview event. One outlet, Fextralife, reported that they were told that the game would be 50-60 hours long.
It’s an interesting statement that needs to be clarified as that makes the upcoming mainline title the longest game in the series.
Is that 50-60 hours to 100% complete the game? Or to actually finish the campaign? You can here them mentioning the length of the game at the very start of the video below.
This made me look back and see how long it took to finish previous titles in the series. According to How Long to Beat, Here’s how long it would take to finish previous mainline Armored Core titles.
Armored Core 1
Main Story: 8 Hours
Main Story and Extra: 9 Hours
Completionist: 12½ Hours
Armored Core 2
Main Story: 11½
Main Story and Extra: 13 Hours
Completionist: 14½ Hours
Armored Core 3
Main Story: 12½
Main Story and Extra: 17 Hours
Completionist: 20 Hours
Armored Core 4
Main Story: 8½
Main Story and Extra: 11 Hours
Completionist: 17 Hours
Armored Core 5
Main Story: 12½
Main Story and Extra: 20½ Hours
Completionist: 41 Hours
Now, the hours it takes are reported by users and How Long to Beat is mostly spot-on with its data, so if you compare the stats above to what is reported about Armored Core VI, it doesn’t even come close. Even if we say the the 50-60 hour report was a bit over-exaggerated and in actuality the game would take roughly 20 hours to complete the game’s main campaign , that still makes the new game the longest in the series.
Either way, it’s a good time for Armored Core fans as we get a new mainline title by the original studio that is currently at its best as From Software’s last game Elden Ring won game of the Year at last year’s Game Awards.
If you’re excited for the game and wish to see the latest gameplay footage, check out this lengthy gameplay previous that Bandai Namco just released recently.
Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon is set to launch on August 25 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
