Assassin’s Creed Mirage Has Gone Gold, Now Releasing a Week Earlier
/Ubisoft has announced that the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise Assassin’s Creed Mirage, has officially gone gold and that they are moving the release date a week earlier as it’s now set to release on October 5.
A game going gold means that active development on the project has been completed and mass production can begin in preparation for the game’s eventual release.
In Mirage, the Assassin’s Creed series is stepping away from action RPG and becoming more of what the game is originally known for — an open-world action stealth game. You play as Basim (first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla) and see his life as an assassin set in ninth-century Baghdad.
During an AMA session on Reddit, when asked about the game’s total game time, developers of Mirage shared that the game will be “closer to the first AC games”. Assuming they are talking about just the first two games, Mirage will likely take 20-30 hours.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Luna, and PC (via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store).
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
