Dave the Diver Guide - Where To Find White Spotted Jellyfish
/Dave the Diver has a long list of ocean wildlife just waiting for Dave. As you progress through the game you’ll come across a side task for a certain VIP that requires you to catch a White Spotted Jellyfish, which is a bit harder to find. Here’s a quick guide to where you can find it.
Where to find the White Spotted Jellyfish
If you’re in need of a White Spotted Jellyfish, you’ll find them in the Limestone Cave, an area located roughly between 80 - 100 meters deep, so be sure you have the right gear to delve that deep. Since the Blue Hole’s landscape changes every time you dive, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly where the cave is, but there are indicators telling you that you are on the right track.
You’ll know you are in the right area when the game brightness goes slightly darker and the game screen will have a hint of yellow. When this happens, you are in the right place. In this area, there are a lot of White Spotted Jellyfish roaming around. It also helps that when you enter Linesteone cave a text will appear informing you of this fact, but sometimes it doesn’t pop up as some versions of the cave have multiple entrances.
Whenever I head to Limestone Cave, I always come across heavy currents that if you are caught in one, will likely direct you to some spikey barnacles that will hurt your oxygen. These currents are easy to cross as long as you start crossing at the start of the current, giving you enough room to cross safely. It gets even easier if you have an Underwater Scooter for a good boost of speed.
Be wary though, as the White Spotted Jellyfish aren’t the only fish life that live in Limestone Cave as we have some pretty aggressive fish that will attack you on sight.
This is also the best place to get Sea Grapes and Salt, ingredients you would like to pick up since you are in the area.
How to catch the White Spotted Jellyfish
Once you find one, the next step you be to naturally catch one, but unlike other fish, a harpoon won’t work on these types of fishes, so be sure to bring either a Hush Dark weapon or a net gun. You can just brute force the catch by attacking the jellyfish with your melee weapon, but that will ruin the quality of the fish.
If you’re hunting for this specific Jellyfish just for the side quest 'Gourmet Vincent’s Challenge’, a 1 star White Spotted Jellyfish won’t work, so be sure to use a tranquilizer weapon or a net gun to get that 3-star fish.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
