Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for April 5 - April 11, 2023

This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.

It being worth it depends on what you have available during that time so choose carefully as 2,000 shards are hard to earn, especially for new players from either side.

Killer Perks

Enduring (The Hillbilly) - Reduces pallet stun duration by 40/45/50%.

Oppression (The Twins) - Performing a damage generator action triggers this perk. Once active, it causes 3 additional generators also to start regressing. It also triggers a difficult skill check on all survivors currently repairing one of those generators

Oppression has a cooldown of 120/100/80 seconds.

Survivor Perks

Breakdown (Jeff Johansen) - Each time you are unhooked or unhook yourself, the hook you were in breaks, and the Killer’s aura is revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds.

The hook broken by this perk takes 180 seconds to respawn.

Diversion (Adam Francis)

After being within the killer’s Terror Radius for 40/35/30 seconds without being chased, diversion will activate.

While crouched and motionless, you can press your active ability button to throw a pebble that creates a noise notification on the Killer. The pebble also creates fake scratch marks on where you threw the pebble.

Diversion deactivates after use and resets its timer.

Which perks are worth getting this week?

For Killers, Enduring at max is something you should have in your arsenal at all times as there’s a lot of good synergy with other perks. It’s also a good perk alone as 50% increased recovery time stakes up in terms of how much time you save in a match. It can also throw Survivors off guard by how fast the Killer recovers.

Oppression you don’t see very often but can cripple a team of Survivors if they are not careful. With it being a kick meta for generator regression, Oppression isn’t so bad to pick up and park with other perks like Call of Brine.

For Survivor, Diversion can be a lot of fun and bring good value, especially when you are trying to help a Survivor that’s just a hook away from death. The only drawback is the amount of time spent trying to use Diversion as your efforts could have been spent on repairing a generator.

Lastly, Breakdown is the weakest offering as it’s hard to get real value from this perk. If you so happen to correctly guess that the Killer is running the Scourge Hook perk and is favoring a particular hook, then yes Breakdown can be useful, but very situational.
