Marvel Snap’s April 2023 Season Is Animals Assemble
/Developer Second Dinner announced the April 2023 season of Marvel Snap. It’s called Animals Assemble and will feature three new Series 5 cards, two new Locations, the new season pass card Hit Monkey and new variants.
Animals Assemble Seasonal Card - Hit Monkey
The April Season Pass card is Hit Monkey, a 2-cost, 0-power card that grows by +2 power for each other card played in a single turn. Cards like Mysterio, Beast, and other bounce cards will synergize well with this card as Hit Monkey can grow pretty fast when played multiple times. This could also work well with a Thanos-themed deck.
New Series 5 Cards coming this April
Three cards will slowly go live in Marvel Snap this April.
Jeff the Baby Land Shark is a 2-cost, 3 Power card that can be played at any location and moved once after it’s played. This will be Professor X or even Ebony Maw’s best friend as nothing can stop Jeff from going anywhere, even locations that prevent card plays. It’s also great if players try to lock down a place.
Stegron is a 4-cost, 5-power card with an On Reveal ability that makes you move an enemy card from where you played this card to another location.
Lastly, we have Snowguard, a 1-cost, 2-power card, a first for Marvel Snap as this is the only card that can shift from one form to another. While this card is in hand, Snowguard transforms each turn into a hawk or a bear. The bear form has an On Reveal ability that triggers the effect of a location when played, while the hawk form ignores all location abilities next turn.
These cards will be available in the Series 5 pool on these dates:
April 11th: Snowguard
April 18th: Jeff the Baby Land Shark
April 25th: Stegron
On their release day, these news cards will be available in the Token shop
Nimrod, last season’s seasonal card, will be in the Series 5 pool upon the release of the Animals Assemble season.
New Locations in Animals Assemble
This season will introduce two new Locations.
Pet Avengers Mansion will for players to play their next card on the turn it was revealed, while The Sandbar prevents a player from adding cards with any abilities.
The Animals Assemble season will go live starting April 3 and will last throughout the rest of April. Like previous seasons, a new season will be revealed in the first week of May.
This season pass remains at the same price at $9.99 to unlock the premium track and get instant access to the new seasonal card Hit Monkey and eventually earn new variants for Cosmos and Goose.
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
