Destiny 2 Season of Defiance Weekly Reset - What's Happening in Week 6
/Another week, another reset in Destiny 2’s Season of Defiance (Season 20). Nothing much going on in terms of the story as it concluded last week, so it is business as usual for the Guardians. Week 6 will be rather quiet as there’s nothing significant that went live this week, but Iron Banner is back for its second week this season.
Destiny 2 - Season of Defiance Week 7
Iron Banner - Get that Hero’s Burden
For Iron Banner, the best weapon to focus on with all the Iron Banner Engrams is the Hero’s Burden as you want a version of this SMG with Destabilizing Rounds. Everything explodes with this perk in PvE, another perfect choice for clearing waves of enemies. It will only get more valuable once the next season starts as right now everyone can make any Void weapon volatile with the Volatile Flow perk from the seasonal artifact.
Once that’s gone, you’ll appreciate having this in your storage, ready to go.
Root of Nightmares - Master Raid
The Root of Nightmares this week has the Crossfire Challenge in the Scission encounter. To complete this challenge you will need to use the various launches and have another teammate shoot the diamond crux on the opposite side so they can traverse the gap. It’s just added communication to get this one done.
This week, for completing the Master version of the raid, features the Adept version of the Solar Trace Rifle Acasia’s Dejection.
Weekly Vanguard - Nightfall is the new Lake of Shadows
This week’s Nightfall features the new and improved Lake of Shadows Strike and it’s rather tough even with Hero as matchmaking with randoms isn’t a smooth experience. It’s a reworked Strike, after all.
This Nightfall features the Machine Gun Swarm.
Gambit - increased points this week
If you still need to do some Gambit-based seasonal challenges or farm for something in particular (maybe the updated Trust), now would be a good time as you get more Rank points this week.
Visit Ada for more Shaders
As always, visit Ada-1 at the Tower as you might still not have the Shaders she has on offer this week. I was reminded of this fact as I apparently did not own one of the Shaders on offer this week.
In Week 6 she’s currently offering the Shaders Vitrified Duality, Tangled Rust, New Monarch Succession. Each one costs 10,000 Glimmer.
That’s about it. Everything else is the usual vendor reset. A quiet week, which is fitting as it’s Holy Week this week, a good time to look back at what you missed since the season started.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
