Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets Perks for October 2023

It’s Halloween month! Dead by Daylight’s Shrine of Secrets refreshes every week as it gives players (either the Killer or Survivor side) a chance to get perks exclusive to specific characters they might not own or have yet to prestige to unlock the perks. If you’re looking for a specific perk, come back each week as we break down what becomes available in October 2023.
Shrine of Secrets can be found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight which allows players to unlock perks still unavailable for their account or have not yet earned the highest tier. It resets early morning of every Wednesday, 1 AM GMT +8.
Here’s a rundown of what is available as well as what was available this month.
Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for October 18- October 24 (Current)
Killer Perks
Iron maiden (The Legion) - This perk increases your Locker Search speed by 30/40/50%
Survivors who exit a Locker suffer from the Exposed effect for 30 seconds. They will also let out a scream and will reveal their location for 4 seconds.
Grim Embrace (The Artist) - Each time a Survivor is hooked for the for the first time, this perk gains 1 token.
When this perk reaches 4 tokens, the perk will block all Generators for 30/35/40 seconds and the aura of the Obsession will be revealed to you for 6 seconds.
Survivor Perks
Boon: Circle of Healing (Mikaela Reid) - All Survivors benefit from the following effects when inside the radius of this perk’s Boon totem:
This perk increases the healing speeds by 50/75/100% when not using a Med-Kit.
If a Survivor is injured, their aura will be revealed to other Survivors
Survivors can only be affected by one instance of this perk at a time. You can only bless one totem with this perk.
Residual Manifest (Haddie Kaur) - After successfully blinding the Killer, the kiler will suffer from the Blindness effect for 20/25/30 seconds.
This perk also gives you the ability to go through an opened chest once per match and will guarantee you a yellow Flashlight.
Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for October 11 - October 17
Killer Perks
Forced Penance (The Executioner) - Survivors taking a Protection Hit will suffer from the Broken status effect for 60/70/80 seconds.
Play with your Food (The Shape) - Each time you chase your Obsession and let them escape, this perk receives one token up to a maximum of three tokens.
Each token gained will apply a stackable 3/4/5% movement speed Haste effect up to a maximum of 9/12/15%.
Performing a basic attack or special attack that damages a Survivor will consume one token.
Survivor Perks
Bite the Bullet (Leon S. Kennedy) - When healing yourself or another Survivor, all grunts of pain and healing noise are suppressed.
Failed Healing Skill Checks will also no longer trigger a loud noise notification to the Killer and only apply a regression penalty of 3/2/1%.
Reassurance (Rebecca Chambers) - When you are 6 meters from a hooked Survivor, press the active ability button to halt their Sacrifice process for the next 20/25/30 seconds.
If the hooked Survivor is already on his/her second hook, the perk prevents any more Skill Checks for the same duration.
Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for October 4 - October 10
Killer Perks
Stridor (The Nurse) - This perk increases the volume of Survivors’ noise when injured by 25/50/50% and also increases the volume of their breathing by 0/0/25%.
Eruption (The Nemesis) - Kicking a Generator applies Eruption to it. All those affected by this perk will be highlighted to you in yellow.
The next time any Survivor enters the Dying State by any means, all Generators affected by Eruption explodes and start regressing.
The explosion instantly reduces 10% of its maximum possible regression.
If there was Survivors working on any Generator affected by this perk, the explosion causes them to scream and reveal their aura for 8/10/12 seconds.
Survivor Perks
Open-Handed (Ace Visconti) - Increases the radius of all aura-reading abilities created by you or other Survivors by 8/12/16 meters.
Survivors can only be affected by one instance of this perk at a time.
Blast Mine (Jill Valentine) - After repairing Generators for a total of 50%, this perk activates.
With the ability button, the Survivor with this perk can buy a Blast Mine trap on a partially progressed Generator and will remain active for 100/110/120 seconds.
When a Killer kicks the Generator with the Blast Mine active, the trap explodes stopping the killer from damaging while stunning and blinding anyone nearby.
A Blast Mine will deactivate once its timer is out or was triggered.
Generators with a Blast Mine are highlighted in yellow.
Halloween October Schedule revealed
Behaviour Interactive also revealed recently the October 2023 roadmap, showing what you can expect from Dead by Daylight during the spookiest month of the year.
October starts with new cosmetics in the in-game store, the followed by Tome 17 releasing on October 11. We will then have a developer livestream to showcase the upcoming Halloween event called Haunted by Daylight, which will go live on October 18, offering seasonal items, likely a uniquie mechanic, and daily rewards that will last until November 6.
