In-game store updates
The in-game store will feature Halloween themed cosmetics starting October 11, such as the Tricks and Treats Collection featuring Halloween cosmetics for Jane Romero and Dwight Fairfield. The Hallowed Blight collection is also getting updated with two new additions for the Killers The Oni and The Mastermind (Albert Wesker).
New Tome: Malevolence
On October 12, a new Rift and a new Tome called Malevolence goes live on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Epic Games Store, Windows Store, Steam).
The new Tome features memories of the killer Ghost Face and Survivor Mikaela Reid and naturally a new battle pass. The Free Track for this one features cosmetics for The Artist and Yui Kimura. In the Premium track, notable rewards are cosmetics for Mikaela Reid and the Killer Ghost Face, which also has two new masks – a bleeding Ghost Face, and the Wassup Ghost Face, a call back to the Scream parody movie Scary Movie released in 2000.
Haunted by Daylight in-game activity
On October 13, the Haunted by Daylight in-game event for Halloween goes live. During a match, players will have to complete objectives to gather void energy, which then needs to be deposited in an unstable rift found in the map. Doing so will reward survivor players with shirts with skeletal designs while Killer players get candy-themed cosmetics for the killer’s weapons.
During Haunted by Daylight, an event tome will go live as well. Progress through this Tome by completing challenges to eventually unlock Halloween-themed charms as well as a new outfit for survivor Kate Denson and killer The Hag. Just like previous Halloween events, expect Halloween items in the Blood Web.
Lastly, Dead by Daylight will be free to play for a limited time starting October 27 until November 1, covering the week Halloween hits.
