Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Announced by Capcom
/Capcom suddenly announced a new remaster of the hit zombie game Dead Rising, which was first released back in 2006. This new release is said to be a more updated remaster as shown in the teaser trailer released, which you can see below.
Beyond the teaser, there isn’t much details just yet as the video description goes:
”Hello? Is this thing on? This is Frank! Frank West! Is anyone out there? Grab your camera and prepare for the big scoop on Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Stay tuned for more info soon.”
A release date and where it will be released was not announced.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is the first game in the series that stars protagonist Frank West, a photojournalist who is trapped in a mall infested with zombies in a fictional town of Willamette, Colorado. The unique concept of this game is the time sensitivity of the game, the volume of zombies, and the crazy amount of wacky weapons Frank has in his arsenal to mow down waves of zombies.
More to be revealed during Capcom Next
Capcom will be hosting an online broadcast next week covering three of their latest upcoming titles, and one of them is Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. They will reveal the first batch of details about the remaster during the event, which is going live on July 2, 2024, 6:00 AM (GMT+8).
The event will be roughly 25 minutes long and will also feature new details on Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and the mobile version of Resident Evil 7 for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Capcom was explicitly clear that Capcom Next is only focusing on these three titles, so don’t expect surprise reveals or new information on other titles.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
