Dead Space remake release date set for January 2023

In a recent developer livestream from EA Motive, the developer revealed that the upcoming Dead Space remake will release on January 27, 2023.

This remake to the original Dead Space game will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Since the reveal, the folks at EA Motive have been pretty transparent with the development of the remake as their livestream shows early stages of the game in development, showcasing different aspects such as how they improved the sound to even how different Isaac’s breathing patterns will be based on his current state, like how the sound of his breathing will sound different when he’s injured or winded from sprinting.

The latest livestream, which revealed the release date, focused on the game’s art, specifically the game’s environment from in-game props to lighting to give that signature Dead Space eerie atmosphere. The stream also featured new pre-alpha footage of the game and it looks like it's coming along nicely if you compare other pre-alpha footage they’ve shown from previous livestreams. The developers in the recent livestream also mentioned that they just recently did their first full walkthrough of the remake with all of its content present.

At the end of the livestreams, the developers also mentioned that they aim to release a gameplay reveal of the Dead Space remake sometime in October 2022, if all goes according to plan, of course.
