Destiny 2 Season of the Defiance Weekly Reset - The Big Things You Should Know in Week 4
/Another week, another reset in Destiny 2’s Season of Defiance. Week 4 features no new battlegrounds or a new exotic mission but has a unique mission that moves the story forward. Also, Iron Banner is back for the first time since the Lightfall expansion was released.
Destiny 2 - Season of Defiance Week 4
Iron Banner is back
Iron Banner is back coming off Trials’ first week and doesn’t have a unique game mode that we need to familiarize ourselves with. It’s the classic Control Iron Banner game mode that when a team captures all three points to go into the Hunt, enemies will be worth extra points during the duration of the hunt.
As for the rewards for this Iron Banner, stay tuned. But there is a new version of the Pulse Rifle Jorum’s Claw that I might play around with to see its perk pool. The rest are the same old weapons, but again, will report back if there’s something new in the perk pool that’s worth grinding for.
[UPDATE] Hero’s Burden with Destabilizing Rounds is a must-have
After going through the different pools for each weapon, The Hero’s Burden is at the top priority only due to the fact that it can now roll with Destabilizing Rounds, a perk that makes nearby enemies Volatile. What does Volatile do? Enemies affected by it will cause a Void explosion not only damaging nearby enemies but also making them Volatile as well if they survived. Not many weapons have this perk, so make sure you get at least one Hero’s Burden with this perk.
The new unique mission could be a tear-jerker for some
If you’re updated with the seasonal quests for Season 20, head to the Farm and get ready for a major change. Well, that is if you like that particular character. No spoilers here, but a big change will happen once you finish the “Jailbreak” Mission.
Bright Dust Store - You need to get the new Erebos Glance Shader
Just like every week, the Bright Dust Store gets updated with new items to entice players to spend their hard-earned Bright Dust, and this week we have the Erebos Glance Shader that was so hard to pass that I bought it the moment I saw the preview on my Titan.
Naturally, regulars would buy every shader available in the store as it only costs 300, but just in case you’re low at the moment, prioritize the Erebos Glance Shader as it has a nice primary black detail with a gold touch on certain parts of your armor.
Other worthy mentions this week are an Ornament for the Osteo Striga exotic and an arm Ornament for this season’s featured set (Titan’s Cogent Beat, Hunter’s Limitless Subversion, and the Warlock’s Technological set) which was introduced this season in the in-game store. Just like last season, pieces of these unique ornament sets are likely to be featured in the Bright Dust store, so if you like these sets, check every week to hopefully get the full set.
Vanguard and Nightfall Reward for the week
This week’s Nightfall is the new and improved Arms Dealer. This I’m pretty excited to try as the Arms Dealer Strike encounter was completely changed as it used to be an operation led by Cayde-6, a Hunter that died in the Forsaken expansion.
The Nightfall weapon for this week is The Militia’s Birthright. Not the best Grenade Launcher to hunt for but if you’ve been looking for a launcher in the Kinetic slots, this is a decent choice.
As for Vanguard Ops this week, bring out your Strand builds if you’re still hunting for your Pinnacle rewards.
New Players - Get the Judgement of Kelgorath Glaive from Banshee-44
This is for new players. Banshee-44 has some good weapons to consider as the Judgement of Kelgorath Glaive on offer right now has a fantastic perk combination with Incandescent and Demolitionist. Another good option if you’re looking for a good kinetic sidearm is Farewell. Gun feels great and has Frenzy and the Full Auto Trigger perk.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
