Dead by Daylight’s 5th Anniversary limited event

Dead by Daylight’s 5th anniversary celebration event is now live, meaning right now would be the best time to jump back in, eat some cake, and earn as much Bloodpoints as possible from June 30 to July 15. You can even score a few cosmetic items and pick up new perks at a discount.

Dead by Daylight officially turned 5 and you’ll notice soon enough that a few things have changed during the event. For starters, a new loading screen decked with the 5th anniversary design of gold and black will welcome you now with quotes from the developers thanking players for the longtime support. While in a match, you’ll also experience these special Crown Pedestals that interacting with it will give you this golden effect for the rest of the match. Both killer or survivor can claim the effect and if a survivor escapes a trial, or if the killer completes the trial, you earn a 5th anniversary crown cosmetic for that survivor or killer.

But do note that this is only available for the unique characters created by the developers, so tough luck for licensed ones like Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine or Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head. If you want the crown cosmetic to be available for all your characters, you’ll just have to complete/survive a trial with the special effect on you one by one.

Earn all the Bloodpoints, sacrifice all the cakes!

Players can also earn Sacrificial Cakes through the game’s progression system, the Blood Web. If use for a match, each player will earn 105% more Bloodpoints in all categories. Best part is, this special offering will stack with other sacrificial cakes. Also available for a limited time through the Blood Web are 5th anniversary flashlights, medkits, and toolkits, designed to fit the theme of the anniversary.

There will also be a community challenges. As the community completes each goal, everyone will be rewarded with unique items, like a new 5th anniversary themed cosmetic for the survivor David King and the killer Wraith, plus new charms and other cosmetics.

Shrine of Secrets resets every 24 hours during the event

If you’ve been saving the in-game currency Iridescent Shards, good for you as during the 5th anniversary event the Shrine of Secrets will update each day, offering new perks at a discounted price. As an added thank you from the developers, players who login during the first seven days of the event will also earn 9,000 Iridescent Shards. You will also earn 500,000 Bloodpoint when you login for the first time during the event.

If you’re new to the game, right now is the best time to jump in and play some Dead by Daylight from now until July 15 to earn as much Bloodpoints as you can in each match. Bloodpoints is an essential resource for players as it’s used to grow your characters, unlock items and perks, simply open up new ways to play the game.
