Here Are Your PS Plus Free Games For July 2021
/June is here and that means a new batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. On June 6, users with PS Plus can download Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (PS4), WWE 2K Battlegrounds (PS4), and A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5) for free.
A Plague Tale: Innocence free for PS5
It’s a decent lineup, especially for those with a PS5 that haven’t played A Plague Tale: Innocence, an adventure that is now getting a sequel. This version of the game was recently updated for the PS5 to feature 4k native resolution, faster loading times, improved visuals, and run at 60 fps.
You play as Amicia and her little brother Hugo as they go through a journey during one of history’s darkest hours, avoiding Inquisition solders and swarms of plague rats that apparently detest fire. It’s considered one of the hidden gems of 2019 as critics and gamers alike have nothing but praise for the game from Asobo Studios.
Free games for PlayStation 4 players
For PlayStation 4 players, you get to download Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds. While battlegrounds seems like a fun arcade-y version of entertainment wrestling to play with friends locally or online, Black Ops 4 heading to the library of PS Plus members completes the FPS shooter lineup of 2018 since subscribers did get Battlefield V for free back in May.
Black Ops 4 is the first time in the franchise to not feature a single player campaign as it includes Blackout, Call of Duty’s first attempt at the battle royale genre. Even if you’re an avid Warzone player, you could get a kick out of what Blackout has to offer as it set up the foundations to make Warzone a reality. If battle royale isn’t your cup of tea, you still have Zombies or the traditional multiplayer game mode Call of Duty is more known for.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and A Plague Tale: Innocence will be free to pick up for your account until August 5, 2021.
If you haven’t already, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown remains available for free this July until August 5, while Star Wars: Squadrons and Operation: Tango — the two other free games offered in June — will no longer be available to claim for free on July 5.
