Free-to-Play Marvel Rivals Launching This December, All Heroes Will be Free
/During the 2024 Gamescom Opening Night Live event, Developer NetEase and Marvel Entertainment announced that their upcoming team-based online game Marvel Rivals will launch on December 6, 2024.
It was also revealed that all heroes and heroes added after will be free.
A new trailer for the game was released to reveal the game’s release date and showcase two new characters joining the roster — Winter Soldier and Captain America.
Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 team-based competitive online game played in a third-person perspective and was first announced back in March for PC, but was later confirmed to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A closed beta was released on PC.
So far, the Marvel characters confirmed for the game are Star Lord, Hela, Namor, Loki, Magik, Groot, Rocket Racoon, Luna Snow, Black Panther, Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Magneto, Mantis, Peni Parker, Venom, and Adam Warlock.
Even in its current state, Path of Exile 2 overshadows much of the available ARPGs in the market today both in terms of quality and replayability.
