New Arc Raiders Trailers Give First Good Look At Gameplay From Recent Tech Test
/Developer Embark Studios (The Finals) has given us a better look at their upcoming extraction shooter Arc Raiders, which is set to launch sometime in 2025. A new trailer is out and is footage taken from a recent tech test they did in October.
We all know what extraction shooters are at this point and this is another spin at that concept as you play as Raiders that go out into the world and scavenge whatever they can find out in the open world. Players will face machines that seem to attack on sight, and since this is an extraction shooter, fellow player Raiders can either join you or take you out for your loot.
The footage released follows three players in a ruined city, which showcases the game’s post-apocalyptic setting. As they go deeper into the map, they come across gunfire and a flare, signaling a player was just downed, a nice addition as players can easily find where the action is in the map.
They soon cut to the team of three interacting with another player with the game’s quick in-game chat message, hoping to team up and split the loot, but the lone player was quickly taken out by a sniper from a building across, triggering a firefight between two teams.
The new gameplay footage doesn’t feel raw but scripted but we now have a clearer picture at what the developers are building.
Here’s a description of the game via its Steam page:
THE GAME
ARC Raiders is a multiplayer extraction adventure, offering high-tension gameplay in an immersive world layered with mystery.
ENLIST.RESIST
Enlist as a Raider and thrive in a desolate world. Shape your legacy as you scavenge the lethal surface and build your home in the underground neighborhood of Speranza. But beware of the machines. Beware of Raiders praying on others. Build relationships with traders as you carry out quests and return from the surface with valuable loot. Trade it for gear and crucial upgrades to your den. But nothing worth having is for free.
Arc Raiders is planning to release on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has the potential to be a favorite for fans of the franchise, delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience with its story and cinematic presentation. While the game shines in its exploration and puzzle elements, the combat and stealth mechanics’ lack of gameplay variety holds it back.
