The Fastest Way To Earn On Black Ops 4's Black Market Is Through Blackout

Treyarch has updated Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with the Black Market - a leveling system that lets you earn rewards by simply playing multiplayer or Blackout.

What rewards do you get when going through the many tiers in the Black Market? There’s a lot of them, all to help you personalize your specialists and weapons, plus new ways to express yourself when you pull off a crazy frag.

The type of rewards in the Black Market

Tags: Pretty much sprays in the game. They can be applied on any surface in-game at any time.

Stickers: Stickers can be used to either create an emblem or apply it to your customized weapons.

Calling Cards: Profile banners, because there’s never enough of that in a Call of Duty game. As in previous Call of Duty games, they are displayed behind your gamertag,

Outfits: Character skins for a specific character or specialist in the game. Probably one of the rare cosmetics as there’s not much of them going around.

Warpaint: Self-explanatory really, but right now the only warpaint is Halloween theme, which is currently on-going, providing another set of tiers to unlock.

Reserves: Treyarch’s take on lootboxes, rewarding players with a random item. With Black Ops 4’s microtransactions currently unavailable, we could see these Reserves available for purchase using real currency.

Weapon Skins: a flashy (or not flashy) design for your weapons to provide cosmetic flair.

The longer you stay in-game, the faster you progress

It’s a great system to reward players that play Black Ops 4 for hours on end. Each tier in every reward stream rewards you with a cosmetic item. And since it’s October, we are given another stream of rewards that are Halloween themed. It’s out now on the PS4, and the Halloween event will make its way to Xbox One and PC players on October 27.

I’m sure avid players have unlocked a good majority of tiers by now, so how do they do it? We'll, it’s not about performance, it’s about how much time you’ve spent in-game.

To put it simply, it would be best to play Blackout. Surviving as long as possible is one of the best ways to quickly progress through the Black Market tiers. Blackout can last up to 30 minutes long if there are still players within the last safe circle in the map. It’s a shame that a player’s performance doesn’t affect your progression in the Black Market, which could result in players just camping it out to grind the Black Market.

Each stream filled with cosmetic rewards will be available for a limited time. The Contraband stream will rotate every two months or so. The first batch, called Operation First Strike, has already begun and has 200 tiers to unlock.

Don’t start hunkering down to unlock all 200 tiers as fast as possible, though because it will be a painful grind. One user in Reddit did the math, and it is said that to unlock everything in Operation First Strike, a player has to spend ~400 hours in the game. But if you have all the time in the world, godspeed.

The Black Market Halloween event i scheduled to last until November 2, 6PM CEST/12PM ET/9AM PDT.

We are having a blast with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 right now, especially thanks to the changes done to how a player heals in multiplayer.
