/Sony Interactive Entertainment’s first State of Play showcase for 2023 revealed the Monthly Games lineup for March 2023, which is Battlefield 2042, Code Vein, and Minecraft Dungeons. They also revealed a portion of the games coming to Extra and Premium/Deluxe subscribers in March.
PS Plus Monthly games for March 2023
The PS5 and PS4 versions of Battlefield 2042 will be available while Minecraft Dungeons and Code Vein will have PS4 versions available. These games will be available to download starting March 7 and you have until April 3 to claim these titles for your PS Plus collection.
This is a surprise to see next month’s lineup this early as we heard about February’s Monthly Games lineup a week before it was officially offered to subscribers. If you haven’t redeemed your copy of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Evil Dead: The Game, Mafia Definitive Edition, and OlliOlli World, you have until March 6 to claim these games for your account.
PS Plus Game Catalog update for March 2023 (Extra and Premium/Deluxe)
Sony also revealed the games coming to the PS Plus’ Game Catalog for Extra and Premium Subscribers. Five games were announced with one of them being a day one release:
Ghostwire Tokyo
Immortals Fenyx Rising
Tchia (day one release)
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Tchia will officially release on March 21 and will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe subscribers on day one. The other four games will be available for download starting March 16.
It’s not clear if more games will be announced for the Game and Classics catalog midway through March as the update to these libraries usually consist of close to ten games, but these are likely the heavy-hitters for next month.
PlayStation’s State of Play for February 2023 not only revealed what’s coming to PS Plus but also showcased PS VR 2 games and other high-profile titles from various third-party studios, including new footage of Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which apparently will feature a Battle Pass.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
