Rainbow Six Siege’s Doktor’s Curse Halloween Event Returns Today

Ubisoft announced that their Halloween event for their tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege called Doktor’s Curse returns this year with an updated roster for their limited game mode of Hide and Seek as well as an expanded Doktor’s Curse collection.
The limited game mode for the Halloween mode called Doktor’s Curse is a returning event last Halloween, only this time we have an updated roster as Oryx joins the Hunters side (attackers) while newcomer Azami, Nomad, Thorn, and Gridlock join the Monsters side (Defenders).
In case this will be your first time playing the special game mode, you’re in for a treat as this is probably one of the best unique game modes Ubisoft has come up with ever since they started releasing special events.
The Hide and Seek mode will be a 5v5 match where the Hunters spawn on the attacker side and is equipped with only a hammer and either Pulse’s heartbeat sensor device, Lion’s movement scanner, jackal’s tracker, and Oryx’s dash ability. Their goal is to simply take out every player on the opposing side.
On the other hand, we have the Monsters on the Defender side which will have no weapons but only the operator’s special gadgets to booby trap the place to hopefully take out or slow down the Hunters going at you. Since this is still hide and seek, Monsters have a special ability called Nightstride, which allows them to be invisible and run faster for a short duration (this is where Pulse’s heartbeat sensor comes in).
The Monsters win if they either wipe out the opposing side or have at least one player standing on their side when the timer runs out.
The Doktor’s Curse event will have their own set of packs that pulls out of the Doktor’s Curse Collection, which is now expanded this year. Doktor’s Curse Bundles for Smoke, Kapkan, Frost, Lesion, Doc, Bandit, Sledge, Lion, Jackal Aruni, and Ela make a return. New additions for this year are bundles for Oryx, Azami, Nomad, Thorn, and Gridlock. Logging in for the first time during the Halloween event will earn you one free Doktor’s Curse pack. You can then earn at least three more each week by doing special challenges.
Additional bundles were also added, such as Pulse’s Chiroptera bundle, Kaid’s Bloodthirst bundle, Melusi’s Haunting bundle, as well as three themed ones: Wicked Surgery bundle, Incorperal bundle, and the flayed pain bundle. These bundles will cost 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown.
