Square Enix Reveals Release Date for Life is Strange: Double Exposure
/Square Enix have officially announced the release date for Life is Strange: Double Exposure, the highly anticipated next chapter in the beloved Life is Strange series. Fans of the franchise can dive into this all-new supernatural murder mystery starting October 30, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development and will be released at a later date.
In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, players will once again take on the role of Max Caulfield, who has become an artist-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University. Max, now a professional photographer, is haunted by a troubled past but is eager to embrace her new life at Caledon, surrounded by fresh challenges and friendships.
At the heart of the story is Max's new friend, Safiya Llewellyn-Fayyad, an outgoing graduate student with a talent for poetry. The two form a close bond, spending much of their time together. However, everything changes when Max stumbles upon Safi's lifeless body on campus one fateful night.
Determined to save her friend, Max attempts to use her Rewind ability an ability fans of the first game know all too well, but apparently, this older Max hasn’t used this ability in years. Instead of going back in time, Max discovers a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive but remains in grave danger. With the killer set to strike again in both realities, Max must navigate between two timelines to prevent the same murder from happening twice.
