Starfield Has Gone Gold, Preload Details Announced
/Bethesda announced that their sci-fi RPG Starfield has officially gone gold and has shared when players can preload the game on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam.
With the game going gold, it’s the developer’s way of announcing that the main development of the project has been completed and they are all set to mass produce and distribute the game in preparation for its September 6 release.
Pre-load for the game on both Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC starts tomorrow, August 17, while those planning to play on Steam will get to preload starting August 30.
Those who purchased at least the Premium Edition (Or Premium Edition upgrade for Game Pass subscribers) will get to play Starfield on September 1, five days earlier than the rest.
Starfield is one of the highly anticipated games this year and has experienced a series of delays through the years, but the Todd Howard-led new IP is massive in scope, and the game will have roughly 1,000 planets spread across multiple star systems with 10% of them having life.
It is also massive in file size as players should expect a download size of around 125GB, so the preload option is likely appreciated for those planning to play the game the moment it’s released.
Starfield was originally scheduled to be released in November 2022 but was delayed to the first half of 2023. It was then pushed even further earlier this year to the now release date of September 6
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
