Super Mario Bros. Wonder Announced for Switch, Launching This October
/The latest Nintendo Direct games showcase was packed with announcements and surprises. One of them is the reveal of an entirely new 2D Mario game called Super Mario Bros. Wonder, a platformer with a new art direction with new abilities and stage design that can be played solo or with up to four players.
Have a look at the new game in action below.
As Mario games go, this new entry looks adorable with its new art direction that really makes the character animations pop even while in motion. We see a variety of new power-ups like the ability to turn in an elephant and a Wonder Flower that brings the stage alive as we see pipes and other objects warping, bringing the stage to life and sometimes giving players the opportunity to reach certain areas in a stage.
This isn’t the only Super Mario Bros-related announcement Nintendo made during the June Nintendo Direct as the company is going nuts with the introduction of a new Princess Peach game, a remake of Super Mario RPG, and a remaster of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder will launch on the Nintendo Switch On October 20, 2023.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
