The Last of Us Part 1 Officially Announced for PS5 and PC
/Naughty Dog and Sony announced The Last of Us Part 1, a remake of the original game that was developed from the ground up. This version of the game will be available for the PS5 on September 2, 2022. A release date for the PC was not revealed.
The original The Last of Us released in June 2013 for the PS3 then on the PS4 in 2014 as the remastered version.
This year’s Summer Game Fest ended with the reveal of The Last of Us Part 1 but a good chunk of the internet knew it was coming as the remake was leaked just hours before the show went live. In ResetEra, user Modiz posted a link to the PlayStation Direct Store, directing to the trailer for The Last of Us Part 1, as it apparently went live ahead of its reveal.
