The Settlers: New Allies Set to Launch on February 17, 2023
/Ubisoft have announced that they are giving the new The Settlers a new name as it’s now officially called The Settlers: New Allies and has received a new release date – February 17, 2023.
It was last set to launch last March for PC, but on release month Ubisoft delayed the city builder real-time strategy game with no new release date given until now.
Here’s a quick description of the game’s three modes coming from Ubisoft:
Single-player campaign: As the Elari are forced to flee its homeland, they must
settle on new and unknown territories. These new Settlers will have to face many
challenges on their journey, from the raiding of ruthless bandits to the discovery of the new culture of these lands.
Hardcore Mode: As players will be able to play new scenarios, a wide range of
modifiers and conditions will make the AI an even more challenging opponent.
Adaptability is key in this new mode that will put the best players to the test, alone or with friends.
Skirmish: Players will be able to experience Solo vs. AI, co-op vs. AI or PvP featuring up to eight players on the 12 maps available at launch.
This is considered a reboot for the classic RTS series as the last game was The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom, which was released way back in 2010.
The Settlers: New Allies will have two editions available – the standard edition that comes with a copy of the game, and the Deluxe Edition, which features a deluxe pack containing, a digital artbook, a soundtrack of the game, plus the in-game digital content Explorer Pack.
The team working on The Settlers: New Allies will host a live stream for the game on December 1, 2022, 11 PM GMT+8 / 10 AM EST to cover a variety of topics such as the different game modes, its lore, and more. You can watch the stream over at Ubisoft’s official Twitch channel.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
