The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Sales Are Now Over 50 Million as of May 2023
/CD Projekt RED announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has reached a milestone of over 50 million units sold since the game launched in 2015. The series, including The Witcher, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, have surpassed 75 million units sold.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was recently updated with a next-gen patch for free to those that own a copy of the game as it now features 60 fps and enhanced visuals on current-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
A strong milestone for the series as the worldwide success has made CD Projekt RED a well-renowned studio that shows no sign of stopping, despite the horrible launch of their latest RPG sci-fi epic Cyberpunk 2077.
The company is currently working on multiple The Witcher projects, with one of them being a new mainline entry for the series. They are also working on a big expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 called Phantom Liberty which is currently set for release sometime in 2023
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
