Well Boyfriend Dungeon, set for a 2019 release, is one mashup we can definitely get behind. It combines the hack and slash gameplay of dungeon crawlers with very cute boys and girls. Players fight through procedurally generated monsterful dungeons and rescue lost weapons that turn out to be date-o material.
It kind of brings to mind Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu, this year’s anime that anthropomorphizes fine swords into fine young men. In Boyfriend Dungeon, every romance is tied to a specific weapon. Players work to level them up and also win over them sweeties. Also, it looks like one of the eligible date-os will be a cat.
