If you haven't heard episode 16 of the TMG Podcast (which you should), we mentioned at the end that since it was the first episode we recorded together in one room that we'd do a sort of Let's Play afterwards. Well, here you go. The cast and crew of the TMG Podcast plays PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
New characters are coming to Sony's PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale. In the form of DLC content, Zeus from God of War, and Isaac Clarke from Dead Space, is coming to the cross over fighting game. Each characters get's their own trailer to show their moves.
Zeus
Isaac Clarke
Each DLC character will set you back $4.99 each if you wish to expand the roster. If you plan on getting Santa Monica Studio's God of War Ascension next month, then you will be getting it for free. A copy of Ascension will include a voucher that allows you to download the new characters.
A new stage is also coming to PlayStation All Stars. The stage Graveyard is a mix of MediEvil's graveyard opening together with Unfinished Swan's ink splatter that will reveal new objects in the stage. The map will be free in online matches, but if you wish to own it yourself, it will cost you $1.99.
Both the DLC characters and the new map will be available on March 19 at the PSN Store.
Sony just released gameplay trailers for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale's first two DLC characters: Emmett Graves from Starhawk, and Kat from Gravity Rush. Not only does the trailer give players an idea on how these characters play, they also announced when we can start downloading the characters for free, because we only have two weeks to do so.
On February 12, the two DLC characters will be available for free on PSN only until February 26. If you have the game, or you plan on getting it, I suggest you mark your calendars so you won't miss the free download window. No details was given yet on how much each character will cost when the time is up.
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was just released a few days ago, but SuperBot and Santa Monica Studios are hard at work in bringing the first DLC characters into the game. The first two DLC characters for Sony's crossover fighting game will be Starhawk's Emmett Graves and Gravity Rush's Kat.
Seth Killian, former Capcom front man for their fighting games and now lead developer at Santa Monica Studios , spilled the beans on the character DLC's at Playstation's official blog a few days before game release. Emmett and Kat are still at their early stages, so no official release of the characters in action just yet. But it's important to point out that these DLC characters will be free for the first two weeks of release. So if you are having a blast with Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale and wish for more characters, keep an eye out. Future announcements about these DLC characters will come to make sure no one misses the window to download it for free.
Playstation All-Stars battle Royale has now gone gold people. To celebrate the game going gold and to say "thank you" to the fans, Sony released the opening cinematic of the game which reveals character rivals and a final boss that I never knew existed in Playstation history. Check the trailer below.
If you're wondering about that hidden floating head towards the end, yes that's the last boss of the game. His name is Polygon Man,the promotional mascot of Playstation that got cut even before the console even came out. Apparently, negative reactions over at Sony quickly scrapped the mascot and we never heard from him again... until now.
This is the first time I heard about Polygon Man (Picture above). It's hard to believe that they were actually considering a mascot like that for Playstation. He has been hidden for years, but now he has resurface again to be the final boss for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. Why has he come back to go against Playstation's most iconic characters? We'll have to wait and see when it comes out on November 21 on PS3 and on the PS Vita.
