Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Games – Every Confirmed Title for the New Console

The Nintendo Direct solely focused on revealing all the key information of the Nintendo Switch 2 has concluded as Nintendo has revealed how much the console will cost, the release date, pre-order details, and what games will be available at launch.

Nintendo is categorizing their games into three types: Nintendo Switch 2 games, compatible Switch Games, and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games which are Switch games upgraded to utilize Switch 2 features.

Those who own the Switch version of those that have a Switch 2 Edition version can purchase an upgrade pack to play that version. No price is given but expect a reduced price.

Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube Classics

The Nintendo Switch 2 launch will also come with the Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Classics collection for Nintendo Online subscribers. Subscribers can play select Gamecube games on the Switch 2. They also announced a Nintendo GameCube controller for the Switch 2, which will be made available on the console’s launch day.

The Nintendo Switch 2 was already confirmed to be backwards compatible last year, thought it wasn’t confirmed to be officially called the Switch 2 at the time.

Nintendo also revealed a new feature coming to both the Switch and Switch 2 called Virtual Game Cards, giving players the ability to easily transfer their digital games to other Switch devices and make them share their digital games similar to how you would lend the physical card to friends or family members.
