If you loved games such as Dungeon Master and the Eye of Beholder series', then you'll have a kick out of Legend of Grimrock. A game that revives how dungeon crawlers were back in the day. Developed by an indie developer Almost Human Games, the game is only priced at $15. Check out the trailer below.
These games are rare, so it's good to see old concepts coming back. fans of the genre will definitely enjoy remembering the old days. You can buy the game on Steam right now.
The painful yet satisfying action RPG is actually hitting PC. For the first time, PC players will understand the pain console players had to go through when playing Dark Souls. Not only are they getting a port of the RPG hit, the Prepare to Die Edition will include new bosses, new areas, equipment, and a lot more. Check the trailer below, trailers teases the added content for the PC port.
The added content is pretty much bosses and monsters that didn't make the cut thanks to deadlines. Big question though - Will Namco Bandai release the added content as a DLC for console players? God I hope so, I'll buy those DLC's in a heart beat. Check out my review of Dark Souls on the Playstation 3, definitely a great game that any RPG fans should experience.
The Prepare to Die edition includes:
New Bosses - Including Artorias of Abyss, Chimera of Tomb, and more
PVP Online Matchmaking System - Quick matching for co-op or PVP
New Areas – Including Oolacile Tomb, Old Ruins and more
New Enemies – Including Abyss Guard, Chained Prisoner and more
New NPCs – Including Hawkeye Gough and more
New Weapons and Armor – Equip some from the new bosses, enemies, and NPCs
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be out on August 24, 2012 for PC.
Quite surprised with this announcement at Capcom's Captivate 2012. A third game in the Lost Planet series? What's even worse is that it's not really Capcom working on the third game. Sparks Unlimited is the name of Lost Planet 3's developer and their latest(and only) games in their belt is Legendary and Turning Point which aren't good games to begin with from what I remember. Anyways feast your eyes at this cinematic trailer.
Not that much information about this game aside from the early 2013 release date and that Sparks Unlimited is in charge of this title. It seems like Capcom likes sending their franchises over to other devs nowadays. They have sent Devil May Cry to Ninja Theory's way and even gave a Resident Evil title to Six Slant Games.
Excited about this title? I lost faith thanks to Lost Planet 2, but it all depends if it gives the third title a whole different feel.
Excited for Guild Wars 2? While ArenaNet has yet to announce a release date for the game, you can actually pre-purchase the game right now. By doing so, you earn access to future beta events, some hero's band, and a three days head start when it get's released. Available is the Standard Edition, Delux Edition, and Collector's Edition. So what are you waiting for? Go a ahead and buy a game that has no release date!
ArenaNet has already announced that Guild Wars 2 will definitely see the light of day sometime this year so it will happen, don't worry.
Ninja Theory's take on Devil May Cry has a new trailer out with the media accusing Dante a terrorist and a known sexual deviant. Apparently demons aren't the only ones hating on young Dante.
Confused by his new look? This Devil May Cry has no connection with past games and this is the first time the series is not being directly developed by Capcom. I consider it a risk but at least the gameplay looks like a Devil May Cry game.
DmC is coming out for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC but no official date has been announced.
