Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale first DLC characters will be free for the first two weeks of release

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was just released a few days ago, but SuperBot and Santa Monica Studios are hard at work in bringing the first DLC characters into the game. The first two DLC characters for Sony's crossover fighting game will be Starhawk's Emmett Graves and Gravity Rush's Kat.

Gravity Rush Kat joining Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Seth Killian, former Capcom front man for their fighting games and now lead developer at Santa Monica Studios , spilled the beans on the character DLC's at Playstation's official blog a few days before game release. Emmett and Kat are still at their early stages, so no official release of the characters in action just yet. But it's important to point out that these DLC characters will be free for the first two weeks of release. So if you are having a blast with Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale and wish for more characters, keep an eye out. Future announcements about these DLC characters will come to make sure no one misses the window to download it for free.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Attract trailer reveals the final boss

Playstation All-Stars battle Royale has now gone gold people. To celebrate the game going gold and to say "thank you" to the fans, Sony released the opening cinematic of the game which reveals character rivals and a final boss that I never knew existed in Playstation history. Check the trailer below.

If you're wondering about that hidden floating head towards the end, yes that's the last boss of the game. His name is Polygon Man,the promotional mascot of Playstation that got cut even before the console even came out. Apparently, negative reactions over at Sony quickly scrapped the mascot and we never heard from him again... until now.

Polygon man

This is the first time I heard about Polygon Man (Picture above). It's hard to believe that they were actually considering a mascot like that for Playstation. He has been hidden for years, but now he has resurface again to be the final boss for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. Why has he come back to go against Playstation's most iconic characters? We'll have to wait and see when it comes out on November 21 on PS3 and on the PS Vita.

Zombies mode MIA in Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified

Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified When you think Call of Duty: Black Ops, you think Call of Duty plus some zombies to kill. Well, the first Call of Duty title for the PS Vita, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified, will not have Zombies mode. The reason? For the developers to focus on the game's "core strengths".

These core strengths are of course the game's singleplayer and multiplayer. Activision rep Dan Amrich confirmed that Zombies mode will not be included to prioritize on the game's single player and multiplayer features. "This is the first Call of Duty game on Vita, and it needs to deliver on its core strengths - arguably, multiplayer gaming with twin-stick controls in a portable format," said Amrich.

For me, Black Ops won't be Black Ops without Zombies mode. But even with them stating that zombies has been removed to focus on more important features, they announce that Declassified will include a new mode called Hostiles Mode, which is you defeating waves of enemies.

But it looks like the game's developer, Nihilistic Software, would love to add it into the game. In a report coming from IGN, a Tweet from the developer says that "Only Activision and Sony have the power to greenlight Zombies mode for CoD Vita".

Still worth the buy now that Zombies mode won't make an appearance?

Silent Hill: Book of Memories launch trailer

Konami released a launch trailer for Silent Hill: Book of Memories. Book of Memories is considered a spin-off, so don't expect the usual Silent Hill survival horror. It's a PS Vita exclusive and this is the first ever Silent Hill game that has a co-op feature, that and a camera angle that I do not like one bit. Have a look at the trailer below.

This is not a Silent Hill game at all. So fans of the series will be very disappointed. The best way to look at this game is to completely forget that it's a Silent Hill game.If yo're looking for a new co-op game to play with friends, this might fly, but at first glance, it seems rough around the edges.

Oh and just in case you missed the E3 trailer...

Silent Hill: Book of Memories comes out on October 16 exclusively for the PS Vita.
