Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Gets A December Release Date
/During the Nintendo Direct that went live on September 13, 2017, Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will make its release in 2017, it will be out for the Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2017.
Together with the announcement, we get a new video for the RPG giving more detail of the world and the gameplay mechanics. The protagonist Rex apparently lives on a Titan's back and calls him Gramps.
There will be two roles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Drivers and Blades. Drivers are those on the front lines doing the damage while Blades are the support characters and you can have up to three of each during a battle. Each blade is paired up with a driver and supports them by increasing their damage, doing Blade Arts, and more. You'll be able to unlock new Blades so there's going to be a sense of experimentation to create the ideal team composition for a specific fight.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will have a special edition that comes with a sound CD, steelbook, and a 222-page artbook.
