Bandai Namco Might Extend The Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta Thanks To Some Network Issues

Dragon Ball FighterZ's Open Beta is currently live but not working smoothly as intended. Connection issues and long wait times between matches have plagued the beta phase since it became public for PS4 and Xbox One players.

I too have been struggling to play the game. Not a single online match was found on my end and I've been constantly booted out of the servers. I eventually decided to call it quits until things settle down.

Namco Bandai posted on Facebook and Twitter acknowledging the network issues of the beta and that an extension of the beta may happen.

Here's what they have to say on Facebook:

FighterZ,
Thank you for playing the Open Beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ and your invaluable feedback.

Our team is working hard on optimizing the Open Beta but ran into some issues that cannot be addressed in a short amount of time, so we are asking for your patience until the next server update.

The current Open Beta will remain online and available so that the players who can log in and play it, can keep doing so.
Please note, that if we cannot address the issues within a decent amount of time, we will consider extending the Open Beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Thank you for your support and patience as we work towards an optimal gameplay experience.

Issues like these are frustrating, especially those that want to give the game a try before it comes out on January 26, but beta phases are there not only to promote the game but to test server stability. Let's just hope that System Arc Works has everything figured out on launch day.
