Creators Of Theme Hospital Announces Two Point Hospital

SEGA has just announced a new project called Two Point Hospital by Two Point Studios. Bullfrog and ex-Lionhead veterans Mark Webley and Gary Carr, creators of Theme Hospital, is making a spiritual successor to the classic sim.

The announcement trailer features a wacky sickness called Light Headedness, which is pretty much someone struggling with a light bulb as a head. How they presented this shows that the tone and gameplay will feel similar to Theme Hospital.

"We're delighted to finally announce the fruits of our partnership with Two Point Studios and reveal Two Point Hospital to the world," said John Clark, Executive Vice President of Publishing for SEGA Europe. "We're committed to finding and working with the best new studios, ones that fit with SEGA's ethos to deliver new IP with strong franchise potential. Two Point Studios' vision for Two Point Hospital and their ambitions for it fit perfectly with that notion and we look forward to releasing their game later this year."

Theme Hospital was released back in 1997 and was considered a spiritual successor to another sim called Theme Park. It's a great sim game and there's still nothing like it to this day. It's one of those classics that just stays with you after playing thanks to its dark humor and running it now would still be a treat. After it's release, we found a series of other management sims released such as Theme Aquarium and Sim Theme Park but not much has been released in the series since then.

Two Point Hospital will be published by SEGA and expect it to hit Steam later this year. The official website is now up for the game. Registration for the Hospital Pass is now open to those interested and doing so will give you access to new information about the game as well as an exclusive in-game item once the game launches.
