Sea Of Thieves Launch Trailer Shows Off A Pirate's Life
/Sea of Thieves is coming and soon you'll get to live a pirate's life with some of your friends or random people on the internet. It's out next week on March 20 for Xbox One and PC.
When Sea of Thieves was announced, it was presented as the ideal pirate multiplayer experience, allowing players to manage a ship together and find lost treasure, essentially doing anything pirate-y with other players. It's a massive sandbox that gives players a lot of freedom. The video shows off the game's customization options for characters and ships, plus it also featured a battle with a massive sea monster which is most likely the infamous kraken. The tentacles give it away.
Developer Rare released a closed beta last January as well as a surprise open beta last week.
Since Sea of Thieves is part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, getting a copy scores you the Xbox One and PC version of the game. The game is also cross-play between both systems. Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One can also try out the full game right away at no cost starting March 20.
