Alan Wake 2 announced at the Game Awards 2021

Developer Remedy Entertainment announced at the Game Awards 2021 that Alan Wake 2 is in development and that they are aiming for a 2023 release.

"We know this is going to be a pretty scary experience," says Remedy's Sam Lake said at The Game Awards. This is going to be Remedy’s first full survivor horror game as the first one is considered more of an action game by heart with some horror elements added in.
Alan wake is a crittically-acclaimed adventure game that starts as the writer Alan Wake who visits a small town of Bright Falls to cure his writer’s block. Things go off the rails with his wife being kidnapped and now has to face a mysterious force with any form of light source to fight back.
The original Alan Wake was initially an Xbox exclusive but is now available on PC and now on PlayStation through the Alan Wake Remastered which wa released this year.
Alan Wake 2 will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2023.
