Apex Legends Dark Depths event starts January 11 and will run until February 1

Respawn Entertainment has revealed the next event for their free-to-play battle royale shooter Apex legends titled ‘Dark Depths’ which will start on January 11 and will run until February 1. The event will feature a new Arenas map called Habitat, themed cosmetics, and weekly Flash Events. 

The new Apex Legends Arenas map is called Habitat 4 and according to Respawn Entertainment, this area is known as a “Leviathan breeding ground”. IMC research groups realized that a large population of local Leviathans gravitated toward the island. This resulted in designating Habitat 4 as an ethology base to further study the creatures’ behavior. 

Also coming in the Dark Depths event are Flash Events, which are pretty much individual prize tracks that will be available per week during the event. Players can earn the unique rewards plus a unique badge by simply playing the game and completing challenges. 

Here are some notable rewards during these Flash Events according to Respawn.

  • January 11th to January 18th - Apex Packs, Epic Holospray, Load Screen

  • January 18th to January 25th - Key prizes include: Apex Pack, Valkyrie Epic Holospray, 1 Dark Depths Pack

  • January 25th to February 1st - Key prizes include: Epic Revenant Holospray, Epic Alternator Skin, Epic Revenant Skin

The event will also feature special Dark Depths packs available for a limited time. Each of these packs will cost you 400 Apex Coins and these are guaranteed to not have none-dupe event-limited items. The event also includes purchasable Legendary skins for Ash, Horizon, Lifeline and Fuse.

The whole event gives players 40 new cosmetic items to collect from January 11 to February 1.
