Bungie Set To Reveal Their Two-Month-Long Destiny 2: Into the Light Content Update
/With Destiny 2’s next expansion called The Final Shapereleasing this June, Bungie is set to reveal what to expect from the next major update the looter shooter will receive as Into the Light, a two-month-long content drop, will launch on April 9.
To prepare the Destiny 2 community for what’s to come, the Destiny 2 dev team is planning three livestreams to talk about Into the Light. The first one goes live on March 19, the second on March 26, then the final stream on April 2. To reward players watching any of the livestreams, you’ll be rewarded with two unique emblems through Twitch Drops.
Into the Light is a necessary update due to the six-month delay of The Final Shape expansion Bungie announced last year. Destiny 2’s seasons usually last a couple of months but thanks to the delay, Season of the Wish, the game’s final season before the game transitioned to the new Episode content plan, is now three months old with a couple of months left before The Final Shape launches.
Players are used to quarterly releases, and Into the Light is coming to freshen things up before the big expansion.
No other details were shared regarding the Into the Light update. As expected as all will be revealed through the three livestreams mentioned.
Bungie also announced that they are collaborating with Ghostbusters to offer in-game items is also releasing in-game Ghostbuster-themed items for the release of the new film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
\The Ghostbusters Firehouse accessory pack includes a Slimer Exotic Ghost shell, a Garraka-inspired Exotic Sparrow, and an Ecto-1-themed Exotic ship. As a bonus, any player who purchases a Ghostbusters item from the Eververse in-game will be eligible to download a physical Bungie Rewards Slimer Ghost shell papercraft mask, at no extra cost.
Destiny 2’s The Final Shape expansion is a big deal for the Destiny 2 community as this concludes the light and dark saga that started way back in Destiny 1. The expansion goes live on June 4.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
