Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Now Available in the Philippines and Other Countries
/[Update - 3/15/2024]: Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is now also available on Steam.
Square Enix announced that their free-to-play mobile game Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is now available in the Philippines and other countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Macau, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Laos on mobile devices.
A surprise post was made through the game’s official X account.
The announcement comes as the game celebrates its 6th month anniversary with daily free pulls and login bonuses with a new seasonal story called Knights of Judgement now live.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis launched back in September 2023 but only in select regions on mobile and Steam. While the game is still locked in Steam for those in the Philippines and other regions, Apple and Android devices can now freely download the game as the only means to play is through the use of a VPN.
For those unfamiliar, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a free-to-play RPG game with gacha elements where pulls give you chances at earning gear and weapons. Ever Crisis’ story consists of retelling elements of the original story, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, the film Advent Children, and also features new story elements for the game itself written by Final Fantasy VII Remake’s story and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
