Capcom’s Exoprimal Releases This July, an Open Beta Announced
/Capcom’s new IP Exoprimal is now set to go live on July 14, 2023. A new trailer also dropped to give us a new look at the crazy team-based action game where you fight waves of dinosaurs. It was also revealed that those interested in checking out the game can do so during the Open Beta happening on March 17 - 19.
Exoprimal is filled with time travel, exosuits, and an insane amount of dinosaurs. It’s straight up bonkers and somehow it’s interesting because of it.
Here’s the game’s story according to Capcom.
“The year is 2043.
Three years have passed since the vortexes—rifts in spacetime—unleashed the dinosaur outbreak across the world.
Ace, an exofighter with the Hammerheads squad, crash-lands on Bikitoa Island due to a vortex that popped up out of nowhere during a routine patrol mission. There they encounter Leviathan, the next-generation AI that forces the rookie into a nigh-infinite series of wargames.
A chance meeting with the enigmatic exofighter Magnum teaches the Hammerheads that Leviathan's wargames transport the team back in time—to the exact same date three years ago—for every wargame.
Why are the wargames always held on this day in the past?
And why does Leviathan summon dinosaurs for them?
With countless questions looming over them, the confused team catches sight of an even more astonishing individual.”
The game will have a story that will slowly unfold as you play the game’s main mode called Dino Survival, where two squads of five race to complete certain objectives in a match. The team that finishes these tasks before their rival team wins the match.
Your characters will control suits called Exosuits and will fill one of the three roles in the game: Tank, Support, and Assault.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
